Important Message: Assurance regarding the Earthquake in Japan
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On March 11th massive earthquakes hit north-eastern parts of Japan, and those areas have been devastated by tsunami, fire, and aftershocks. We have gracefully received words of sympathy and condolences from some of you, and we pray with you for the victims who happened to be living in those areas.
Luckily, Kobe and the central and western parts of Japan were not affected at all by the disaster and business is resuming as usual in Kansai area. As such, please be assured that the 16th World Congress in Kobe will be held as planned. There will be no change on the dates and venue.
We look forward to meeting many of you in Kobe this summer.

Registration Desk
All participants are required to report to the registration desk.
Please receive your congress bags and name tags at the registration desk. The name tags must be worn at all times to all sessions and social events. The Program Booklet and the Book of Abstracts will be included in your congress bag.

Boxed Meals and Restaurants
For those who have ordered boxed meals online, meal tickets will be handed to you at the registration desk. Please present your ticket and receive your meal box at the meal counter, which is located adjacent to the registration desk.
Hours: Lunch boxes 11:00 – 14:00 Supper boxes 16:30 – 19:30
If not collected during above hours, they will be disposed for health reasons.
In case of meal box cancellation, please advise JTB by E-mail or fax.
Important: No Sales on the day. Prior orders needed.
Access to Receptions
Welcome Reception
Welcome Reception will be held on Friday evening from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Kobe Kachoen. Please note that this is the corrected time.
For your convenience, registration desk is also located at Southern Lobby, Kachoen between 6:00-8:00pm.
■Buses
From KICC
The buses to Kachoen depart from northern side of KICC from in front of the Quality Hotel. Go down the driveway from the Main Entrance on the first floor.
The ride is approximately five minutes.

From Kachoen
After the reception, the buses will run to Portopia Hotel and Sannomiya.

Farewell Reception
Farewell Reception will be held on Tuesday evening 8:00pm - 9:30pm at a party room,” Kairaku” at Kobe Portopia Hotel. Please note that this is the corrected time.
Room Kairaku is on the first basement floor.
Please take a short walk on the connecting passage from the KICC(from 2nd floor entrance) to Portopia Hotel.
Access to Second Congress Venue, Kobe Gakuin University(KGU)
On Sunday, August 7, 2011, lecture rooms at Kobe Gakuin University(KGU) will be used as a second-congress venue. Shuttle buses will also be available between Kobe International Convention Center and the campus.
From KICC
Free shuttle buses will run between the KICC and KGU. The ride is approximately five minutes.

■Taxies
We strongly encourage you to use public transport or a taxi to come to the venues.
However, if you take a taxi, please ask the driver to enter the campus from the north entrance and get off just in front of the session venue, Building B.
Sightseeing/Scientific Tours
Tour buses will depart from Kobe International Conference Center.
A bus stop will be set up in front of the Quality Hotel, north of KICC.
Internet Services
The KICC provides wireless internet service within the building. Please prepare your SSID and WEP key, alphanumeric characters with lower case. The password wiill be provided at the Lobby next to the Registration Desk.
